Michael Says...

Since our racing kits of 6 with Certificate of Origin were first marketed in July 1996 demand for our January, February and March  babies has always outstripped supply and in 2008 I am happy to say  that the trend has continued right through into April and May.

Currently we are advising fanciers that if they order today it may take up to 10 working days before you receive your order (some families a little longer). In all my years I have never known such a high volume of demand for mid-May babies. As always we will do our best to deliver your order as quickly as we can - we cant be fairer than that.

I think the above endorses that although pigeon fanciers have continued to decline in numbers over the last 15 years or so, demand for Louella stock continues rise. Older fanciers are well aware that Louella have been in business since November 1952 (a proven track record) and have always safe guarded our principles of purchasing the best racing and breeding Champions when available, regardless of cost. We then put these Supreme Champions to work, retaining a high percentage of there good progeny for ourselves. Future generations of these soon filter through into our racing sectors kits of 6's and 10's.

There is however a penalty to pay for telephone and visitor demand in as much as we are currently fully booked and therefore unable to present yb's for sale via our live web cam. Please do continue to log in, as the pressure of demand eases as it should over the next few days more yb's will be presented for sale.

Our older stock sales list will continue to be updated each week offering birds from a wide variety of families.

As always for quality, good breeding and value we remain unbeaten.

Yours in sport

Michael Massarella

18th March 2008 - Big success for Louella's Nomadic Way.Louella’s Nomadic Way Sire of the John Smiths Midlands Grand National Winner March 15th 2008. Himalayan Trail totally outclassed his rivals at Uttoxeter....... Himalayan Trail (by Nomadic Way) at odds of 16-1 was an easy winner (22 lengths) of the John Smith's Midlands Grand National Handicap Chase for the in-form Sue Smith and Tjade Collier at Uttoxeter last Saturday afternoon. The winner was always traveling well and only had Jessica Harrington's fancied Badgerlaw (15-2) to contend with in the final 1/2 mile. Himalayan Trail won over £57,000 and won his previous outing at Bangor. Whatever we do whether it be Horses or Racing Pigeons we like to do it well! The Massarella family and all at Louella are justifiably proud of Himalayan Trail and wish his owner, jockey and trainer all the BEST for the future.
