Michael Says...
Following the success of last November's Louella OB sales we shall again be presenting for sale more than 400 older stock birds from in excess of 20 different families over the next 2 Sundays the 16th & 23rd of November. The majority are bred in ‘00, ‘01, ‘02 & ‘03 with a sprinkling of ‘04s and ‘05s. These stock birds have completed a good moult and are in the peak of condition - They are ready to go !

However, whilst all have bred successfully with us this year and we see no reason why they shouldn’t do so again, we give no further guarantee’s to there ongoing fertility. Hence the near giveaway prices. Additionally this stock will be supplied with Certificate of Origin only.

These pigeons were retained for stock by us because they were very important from the aspect of good breeding and type. They are only on sale now to make way for new stock from families as the market place dictates. My advice is make the trip to Louella over the next 2 Sundays and be convinced that very good pigeons need not cost an ‘arm and leg’.

Share a car with your friends and be early - Doors Open 10am - 1.30pm. All will be priced from £30 to £45 each. You cant pay more - this is not an auction sale. Pens will be refilled as required to maintain choice for as long as we are able to do so. Hot & Cold beverages for your comfort are provided.

On another subject - Following the collapse of Amtrak's pigeon collection and delivery service we continue to struggle to find a carrier up to providing the service of moving our pigeons from A to B. We were informed on Wednesday of this week that our replacement carrier ( AM Deliveries) has gone into liquidation and is yet another victim of these difficult economic times.

Upon receiving this news we immediately renewed our search for a courier able to provide a pm pick up at Louella with a guarantee of next day delivery. This we have done and as from next Wednesday we will be monitoring the new service. We would ask for your patience on this matter and help us to help you. You can still collect from Louella of course and this service is not limited to Sundays providing we can arrange a time to suit both sides before hand.

Champion Adam
Purchased direct from Michel van Lint. Since November 1952 we have bought in and bred from the best in the world. Adam as a top 1% performer in four Nationals, certainly falls into the category of being the "Best of the Best". Every single pigeon bred from him with several good hens has been retained for stock by ourselves. A few Van Lint pigeons are already in the country and there will be more, however, you will be able to introduce the Michel van Lint's from us at realistic prices.

In the Van Lint Stock Loft, Michael purchased the brilliantly consistant Ch Adam who is undoubtedly one of the best pigeons to come out of Belgium, beating huge numbers indeed, up to 45,684 birds. Additionally, direct stock and brothers and sisters to Champions Anita, Amanda, Attila, Bea, Boris, Adonis, Amos, Agnes, Angelo, etc. All have been breeding with us for 3 years and we have retained all but 6 which are now back in Belgium. We have the single largest and most select breeding group of 100% pure Michel van Lint's anywhere in the world.

ACE hen Amarilla. Raced by Michel v. Lint, now the property of Louella Pigeon World. Amarilla won 1st Chateauroux 512 km. with a further 11 prizes from Blois 454km. (282 mls.) to La Souterraine 576km. (358 mls.). In only 5 seasons racing Michel has won 9 x 1st National or semi National - a feat that re-wrote history !

1st August 2008 - All New Louella Web List'sInterest in our web sales list and the site generally continues to be brisk and we continue to take on board your views for further ease of use and presentation. Currently the web sales list is up dated every Wednesday going live at 10am. There are the obvious advantages of doing this as fanciers are guaranteed a wide choice of fresh stock from a variety of families on a weekly basis. The down side is that because many fanciers are at work on a Wednesday at 10am some of the bargains that were of interest to them have already gone before they had an opportunity to log in. The easy answer to this problem is for us to update the site more frequently thus allowing fanciers an even greater choice throughout the week. There are certain logistical problems attached to that for us, but not impossible, so in the coming days and weeks youwill see some major changes to how our sales stock is updated - all of the changes will be for the better we think. The first and most obvious changes will be as birds are sold they will be replaced with new stock daily as required. The lists presented will be larger with up to 200 stock birds on sale from over 20 different families at any one time. Additionally there will be a sales list dedicated to our Certificate of Origin (no pedigree supplied) stock. This will allow fanciers interested in purchasing exceptionally good pigeons at very small prices the same see before you buy opportunity as everyone else. This list will be run on an updated as required basis and will feature families from a number of strains. Starting today the 1st August at 1.30pm over 200 pigeons will be featured here at any time.
